When activated, it spewed burning fuel over an area 15ft wide, 9ft tall, and 89ft long An abwehrflammenwerfer. What is that? That is the flame thrower or flame mine that the Germans developed during WWII. The design for this unpronounceable weapon was copied from the Russian FOG-1 mines that were used in Operation Barbarossa.
There were around 425,000 German prisoners of war held in the US during WWII. Despite how the Nazis and Japanese treated their POWs (horrendously), German prisoners were treated well. According to the Geneva Convention of 1929, the US had to provide living quarters for the prisoners comparable to the it's own military living quarters.
For the past few years, scientists have had the lousy job of taking samples of methane gas out of Wallaby’s stomachs. To their surprise, they discovered that Wallabies produce one fifth as much methane as cows for each piece of food they ingest. What does this mean? Well, it means Wallabies burp and fart less than cows. This discovery could be the key to solving a big part of our global warming problem.
An elephant's foot size is used to judge the overall size of a particular animal, it's age, and the number of elephants in a particular group. Its feet play a role in creating holes in which water can collect, for digging up roots from the ground, and for navigating difficult terrain. Similar to human fingerprints, the pattern of ridges and fissures left behind by the sole of an elephant is actually quite distinctive. In fact, it is possible to judge the age of an elephant by its design. Generally, younger elephants have crisp designs, and older elephants have smoother ridges and worn heels.

Why would wouldn’t the egg cross the Atlantic? Because it’d be illegal on the other side. Due to US and European regulations, egg produced in one region would be illegal on the other. Why exactly is it though? Eggs in America are required to be washed before selling them to the public. In Europe, they are required NOT to be washed or cleaned in any way. Yes, that means that an European egg could contain traces of chicken poop.

The Godfather has many iconic scenes. One of them is when the film producer wakes up in his mansion and finds his prize racehorse's head in bed with him. The mafia are asserting their power over the producer by this show of force. They can take what they want from him, in a very scary way.
If you're a fan of Game of Thrones you probably know Sibel Kekilli as Shae, Tyrion Lannister's prostitute turned concubine-girlfriend (it would be an 'It's complicated' relationship on Facebook). However, what you might not know is that Kekilli first became big in Germany for her acting on a movie called Head-On. She won a Lola (like a German Oscar) for her performance on that movie.
It’s a little known fact that Dolly Parton has launched a charity targeted towards small children. The charity is called ‘Imagination Library’, and has changed the lives of children worldwide. Imagination Library donates age appropriate books to children under the age of 5 to help them improve literacy skills, and get them excited about reading.
